Business Development Manager - Kansas City
SPI is seeking a business development manager in Kansas City to lead the relationship with a global telecom services provider as well as identify new business opportunities in the region that can leverage SPI’s extensive development and application experience with commercial, government and military clients.
Service the global telecom services account and provide day-to-day contact with internal Sprint customers across multiple departments. Identify development and staffing requirements and work with SPI delivery and recruiting teams in Dallas to fulfill.
- Expand SPI presence in the Kansas City region with boots-on-the-ground management of business development tactics
- Create new client relationships in the markets that SPI has existing experience.
- Develop revenue and profit forecasts for business development activities in the Kansas City region and manage to these targets.
- At least 3-5 years IT solutions and staffing industry experience
- Proven track record developing and growing markets and relationships
- Rolodex of contacts at Sprint desired, Rolodex of contacts in targeted SPI markets in the Kansas City Region
- Knowledge of commercial, government and military IT solutions markets
- Experience working with offshore development organizations preferred but not required.

IT SERVICES MANAGER (Location – Dallas, TX)
Hire, train, motivate, and manage the SPI IT services team in delivering applications for an SPI client. Participate in tactical and operational IS planning for current and proposed client business applications. Manage the day-to-day administration, relationships, and resources necessary for the continued support of the application systems. Plan, prepare, implement, and monitor application development priorities to ensure quality and on time delivery. Forecast needs of the client’s business users by understanding their internal business processes and the impacts of external processes and proactively recommend solutions. Provide mentoring, coaching, career path development and performance reviews to the Application Development team Coordinate with other departments within the client organization so that services to them are consistent and compliment each other.
Oversee and manage the change control processes to ensure integrity of the production environment. Oversee the deployment and improvement of the application development policies and standards. These policies and standards include, but are not limited to: project management, development standards, change control, performance, and labor time management. Responsible for development and management of client project plan(s) for multiple projects. Partner with other client management staff to ensure effective communication on all project related activities including deliverables, issues, risks and decisions. Manage application development projects for internal company use in legacy core business systems. Work with developers to design user interfaces, integration points, data requirements, and reporting requirements Assess 3rd party applications to drive buy vs. build decisions Lead project resources in requirement gathering, design, test and rollout process and have overall ownership of project delivery.
- BA/BS degree required.
- 5 years experience in the role of project manager using a formal software development lifecycle
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies including MS SQL and VB, ASP
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment

OPERATIONS SUPPORT PROGRAMMER (Location – Dallas, TX)
- Assist client developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications.
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of client program requirements and specifications.
- Research and document requirements of program users.
- Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
- Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
- Perform test and analyze results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
- Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
- Install software products for end users, as required.
- Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of company Web site and/or related Web applications, as necessary.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
- Work with various departments in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
- BS in computer science or software engineering, and/or five [5] years equivalent work experience.
Working technical knowledge of programming languages, including VB6, SQL Query, VB Script and Web.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2000 database.
- Good understanding of Microsoft operating systems I.e. NT, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and XP for client and server.
- Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies.
- Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
- Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
- Good writing and oral communication skills.

- Familiarity with sales force automation/lead tracking systems
